I love my son

but there are times when I don't like him very much, like today. We are in the middle of a snowstorm and he just pitched a fit because I wouldn't go out to buy him snow pants (my jeans will get wet and my legs will be cold!). So, in his eyes i am the worst mother in the whole world.

Hi Barb, Oh how I can identify!I have given up on a clean bedroom for Liann - all I ask is for a small narrow path so that I don't break my neck when I dare to enter. Of course Liann is very jealous of your snow but WAY too cool to wearsnow pants. She is now looking thru the Victorias Secret catalogue for bikini's As she would say OMG! Can't wait to see you later this month. Love, Alice

PS, I also concur, great friends were my salvation during & after my surgery - Thank you doesn't seem to do justice to their efforts.

I can say I have never NOT had an issue w/ our kids' rooms and toxic waste!! I am thrilled, and jealous, that the room is done!!--I may need to hit up Christine and Kristin myself. What doesn't Christine do?? Sometimes she really gets on my nerves w/ all these accoplishments and skills she seems to pull out of the air!!
I have to tell you I was cleaning our computer room, and I found the International Bar Fly (IBF) Badge you gave me- I laughed until I cried! I am waiting for when you tell me you are ready for mimosas again!!
Best wishes and all of our prayers and blessings to you!!
Love you-
Carole

Hi Barb,
This is my first time on your blog. You, my dear, are an amazing person. Your drive, spirit and sense of humor are just terrific. With all these you are doing as much for your friends as they do for you (and that's a ton!). As for Luis, congratulations, you've joined the club--MOS--Mothers of Slobs! they can be so impossible at this age (anywhere from 10 to 20). Hang in there. He's bound to do something wonderful soon. they know they need to--you know, survival mechanisms kick in and they become charming again. I'm passing on all of your news to Alice and the rest of the family here in Boston. Aside from the jokes, your pain and discomfort sounds horrible. Stay strong and continue to fight your way through it. We're all praying for you and sending lots of love.
Betty
